In 1985 Winfried Titze founded the consultancy Titze, which was initially a GbR (civil-law company). Winfried Titze had already worked as a market researcher for an international consulting agency, in the consumer- and capital goods industry, and had made a name for himself in the furniture and interior furnishings sector.
In 1992 the company was transformed into Unternehmensberatung Titze GmbH (a company with limited liability).
Next to market research, over the following years the company increasingly specialised in consulting services for the furnishing sector, starting from all types of furniture through to kitchen, bathroom, and sanitary installations, right up to various special assortments.
Today the company is subdivided into the three strategic business areas
